How to block website in MacOS

Say wanted to block facebook...

 Do
 sudo pico /etc/hosts

enter: into the file
 127.0.0.1 facebook.com

 and save out ctrl+O; ctrl+x

refresh cache
 sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
